Rob and Sue have actively supported CSIRO research for many years. In 2002, Virginia Park implemented contemporary best management practices for grazing land management. These practices have been sustained since then, including in periods of drought. As a result, Virginia Park Station is used as a resource to demonstrate the benefits of improved land practices and management.

The CSIRO also monitors and records water, sediment and nutrient fluxes at several site locations within Virginia Park.  This research has been published in a range of scientific journal articles.

Virginia Park also trial and implement Regenerative Grazing Practices and host field days for graziers on this model of land management.
